Mr Money Bags can further his case on Saturday as he bids to bounce back after his fourth in the Listed (1400m) at Flemington on January 12 after winning his previous start.

“He was terrific last start,” Griffiths said in his stable update.

“He pulled up a bit sore in his left front leg, that’s why he was running in under pressure at the end of the race but he was still good to run fourth.

“He’s drawn terribly (12) but he does.

“He is favourite and he deserves to be. He will need a bit of luck from that barrier but he is going well enough.”
