Former South Australian trainer has celebrated a milestone victory with rejuvenated gelding Super scoring at the stand-alone meeting at .

Super's triumph in the Hungerford Hill Handicap (1600m) was Minervini's first Saturday-class win since he relocated to the regional centre 15 months ago.

Minervini trained his share of smart horses during his time in , including Group Two winners Vormista and Go The Knuckle.

Saturday's victory was Super's third in succession and Minervini will consider backing him up at the feature meeting next week.

“I might even throw in a nomination for next week. Whether he gets a start or not I don't know,” Minervini said.

“But the horse is absolutely airborne and he has backed up well before.

“We might just give him an easy week. There is a benchmark race over a mile as well so I think you will see him next Saturday.”

Minervini was thrilled that his first Saturday winner came at his new home track and said he was the change.

“I was getting a bit older and racing in Adelaide is really struggling,” Minervini said.

“I thought the clock was ticking and if we don't go now we will never go.

“It is a dream come true racing against these guys every week.”
