Wings Of Song showcased her dominance by securing her fifth consecutive triumph in the Listed Tasmanian Oaks (2100m) at Launceston on Sunday.
Trained by Patrick Payne, the filly demonstrated her prowess, surging past Very Sewreel to claim victory by half a length, while Ala Moana finished third with a 1.25-length gap.
Bred at Twin Hills Stud, Wings Of Song has now amassed an impressive record of six wins, two seconds, and a third from 11 starts, elevating her prize-money earnings to $330,830.
Reflecting on the performance, winning jockey Jye McNeil, who has been in the saddle for the last four victories, remarked, “She’s gotten better every time. It was the second time at the 2100 metres, and I felt she was stronger today.
“She had a nice resting run. There was a bit going on in the middle stages, and she adapted well.
“I loved the way she joined in with ease today, and she put the race away.”
