Connections of talented sprinter are weighing up whether to give the green light to a start at on Saturday.

Kylease has drawn awkwardly in barrier 11 for the class six Handicap (1200m) with several speed runners drawn to her inside.

“It's a race that looks to have a heap of speed so we'll have to sit down and talk with the owners but there's a chance she may not take her place from that barrier,” co-trainer Matt Hoysted said.

“If we don't run, I'm sure there will be another suitable alternative in the not too distant future. There's no rush to find another race.”

Another task confronting Kylease is the presence of in-form sprinter , who has drawn favourably as he shoots for four straight wins.

At her first run back from a spell, Kylease led all the way to win a 1000 metre open company race at the on January 30.

The five-year-old has made an immediate impact since joining the O'Dea-Hoysted training partnership, winning two of her three starts in after doing the bulk of her racing in Sydney with Joe Pride.

The barrier draw has also been unkind to stablemate in her showdown with boom filly in the BRC Membership Handicap (1200m).

“Again, she's drawn poorly with eight out of eight,” Hoysted said.

's filly (Miami Fleiss) was extremely impressive winning first up and looks very much -average so no doubt will be hard to toss.”

Little River pleased Hoysted with her fast-finishing second to Simply Fly at the Sunshine Coast on January 30 after striking trouble soon after the start.

“Her first-up run was outstanding and the step up to 1200 metres is only going to suit her better,” Hoysted said.

“She's come through that run super and we couldn't be happier with her going into this race.”

Little River and Kylease are raced by Proven Thoroughbreds, who have been long-time supporters of Steve O'Dea before he entered a training partnership with Hoysted late last year.
