Top central three-year-old returns to Brisbane to take of weight relief in the $125,000 Plate at .

Master Jamie has won seven times and been minor placed twice in a nine-race career.

He has not raced in Brisbane since finishing third behind smart filly Volare in a Doomben two-year-old race in November last year.

Trainer headed to Brisbane on Wednesday morning to give Master Jamie a chance to settle in before Saturday's race.

“He has been getting big weights in central Queensland and he won his last start with 61.5kg, so he is going to get plenty next time up here,” Green said.

“Master Jamie drops five kilos on Saturday and I have confidence he is up to the class.

“His only start in Brisbane he was very shin sore after finishing third. I am not saying he would have won but he should have finished closer to the winner.”

Green will keep Master Jamie in Brisbane provided he races well on Saturday.

“Horses like him usually have to come south once they reach a certain level. Rockhampton horses have been racing well in Brisbane which is ,” he said.

Master Jamie will be ridden by Les Tilley who has been aboard in all but one of his starts and for six of his seven wins.

Green was the course manager at Rockhampton before relocating to in Brisbane where he and his wife Julie trained for a decade.

“We decided to semi-retire back in Rockhampton a few years back but the stable has gradually built up so it is pretty full-on these days,” he said.

Green has had 20 winners in the past 12 months at a 25 per cent win rate.
