Victorian racing has been suspended pending tests on a licensed person for COVID-19.
Racing Victoria pulled the plug on Wednesday's Sandown meeting after learning the person had been told by health authorities they were on a same flight on March 12 as someone who has tested positive.
The participant is not displaying any symptoms of COVID-19 but RV said it was using an abundance of caution to call Sandown off as well as two meetings on Thursday.
RV said people who have had close contact with the licensed person are being contacted.
If the test is negative, RV will seek to resume racing on Friday.
