Champion Damien Oliver managed to take out his third edition of when claiming the 2023 edition aboard the Peter and -trained filly .

“She's come down in great order,” said Cassidy.

“It makes my job easy down her to tick her over, present her and get the cash.

“She's been racing well all prep and she's on the up. I knew she'd get down here, she'd relax. She's a really easy filly to deal with. She makes the job easy.”

When asked where to next for Wollombi, Cassidy joked.

“They're masters of it mate and I'll leave it up to them.”

Jockey Damien Oliver spoke post-race about sitting on the back of Wollombi and he was happy with the result she produced.

“It was my first sit on her, but she's been winning well in Sydney,” said Oliver

“Winning form is good form and I really like the way she'd really been attacking the line up there. A little bit of a jump in class today, but there was a nice pace in the race – I just let her be happy and she joined in great in the straight.”

When talking where to next for Wollombi, he echoed the sentiments of Cassidy, although the Kewney over the mile might be the option.

“The Snowden's are very good trainers, so I wouldn't like to tell them what to do too much, they know what they're doing.”
