Some of the stars of Australian racing will take to the cricket field for the seventh annual National Jockeys Trust T20 cricket match.

This year's match takes place at Williamstown Oval in Melbourne on Monday, with Damien Oliver to captain the Jockeys' team against the Racing All Stars team which includes retired AFL player Brendan Fevola and former Socceroo Archie Thompson.

Some of the other riders competing for the jockeys include winners , and Brett Prebble.

Perth's premier William Pike, champion , Sydney champion Brenton Avdulla and 's Teegan Harrison are among the other riders in action.

Mitch Goring and Josh Ledger will play in honour of their late fathers, Mark Goring and Adrian Ledger, who both died from injuries received in race falls.

The National Jockeys Trust is a charitable trust established in 2004 to help jockeys and their families, who are in need through serious injury, illness or death.

Since its inception, the NJT has provided $4.3 million of funding and supported 435 jockeys and their families.

Last year's game raised $114,000.

“The day is one of our most important fundraising events for jockeys and their families who are injured and in need of assistance,” Oliver said.

“I look forward to playing alongside Josh Ledger and Mitch Goring, who represent their late fathers who tragically lost their life in race falls.”

Oliver's father Ray died from injuries received in a fall in the 1975 Kalgoorlie Cup while his brother Jason lost his life in a barrier trial accident in 2002.

Multiple Group One-winning jockey will be part of the commentary team.

Rawiller is on the trail after suffering neck fractures in a race fall at in October.

Last week he was given the all-clear to remove the neck brace he had been wearing in recent months.
