Princess Of Queens Aimed At G1 Sangster

Mick Price will rely on as his sole runner in his latest bid to add to his Group One tally.

Saturday’s at is one of two Group One races on the card and Price has three horses entered in the 1200m-race restricted to fillies and mares.

Price said three-year-olds Anjana and Persuader would line up on Saturday against their own age group in the Group Two over the same distance.

Price said Princess Of Queens had done everything asked of her in preparation for her first-up run following a freshen-up, including running a close-up fifth in a 800m-barrier trial on April 23.

“She’s had a nice freshen-up, she’s trialled really well and she’s had a nice gallop here (Caulfield),” Price said.

“She’s got to graduate from the Group Three grade in the autumn so we’ll ask it of her and see what happens.

“She’s flying but she probably needs to pull her socks up a bit to win a Group One.”
