Victorian three-year-old Mr Quickie has made up for a South Australian Derby placing in winning the Queensland Derby after surviving a protest.
Bursting into the clear at the 250m, Mr Quickie proved to be a superior stayer in beating Vow And Declare in the 2400m Classic at Eagle Farm.
Aliferious was the first filly home to take the minor placing.
