Trainer has trained his 100th winner for the season and is looking forward to an even brighter new racing season.

Dunn reached the milestone for the second time when The Ridge won at on Friday.

He has trained 52-1/2 winners in and 48 in NSW.

“We had 104-1/2 winners a couple of seasons ago and it would be nice to get four more before the end of the season but that might be wishful thinking,' Dunn said.

“But we have won more than $3.6 million in prize money so it has been our best season to date.”

Dunn is looking forward to an even bigger things next season with the huge prize money boost announced in NSW this week.

It is ideal for Dunn who is based at Murwillumbah which is near the NSW border with Queensland.

Dunn has several horses, including Group performer , he is considering aiming at the $1.3 million , a new race for country-trained horses at Randwick in October on the support program for The .

“It is a set weights with penalties race and I am told he would get about 60kg. I don't think that is too harsh so it is obviously a race we would be chasing,” Dunn said.

“He's going to the again, so the Sydney race works out well for him.”

Dunn has been looking for a location for a satellite stable which is closer to Sydney.

“We will still race horses in Brisbane but some of the better ones will concentrate on the bigger prize money in Sydney,” he said.

Dunn has been considering or as possible satellite stable sites and has also looked at some areas on the NSW Central Coast.
