Godolphin Australia has confirmed that their Street Boss colt, Traffic Warden, will contest this year’s The Everest (1200m), set for Saturday, October 19, at Royal Randwick.
Following two stellar performances this campaign—a victory in the Group 2 Run to the Rose (1200m) and a strong second-place finish behind Broadsiding in the Group 1 Golden Rose (1400m) James Cummings, Head Trainer for Godolphin Australia, expressed his confidence in the colt.
“He’s come through his most recent run brilliantly, and third up he will be ready to peak on Everest day,” Cummings said.
Jamie Kah, a multiple Group 1-winning jockey, will take the reins aboard Traffic Warden,” added Andy Makiv, Managing Director of Godolphin Australia.
“We are thrilled to have Traffic Warden representing Godolphin in The Everest. He is an outstanding three-year-old colt by one of our best stallions in Street Boss and highlights the incredible efforts of our people, from the office teams, to the farms and the racing stables.”
Following the news, Traffic Warden is currently on the fourth line of betting with horse racing bookmakers for The Everest.
