“We are deep into our preparation and we had good fitness underneath and it's pretty much how the instructions followed through, to ride him like the fittest horse in the race and it obviously worked.

“This horse doesn't know how to lay down and he has always shown lots of promise at home, and he's had a few luckless runs, but today makes it worth it.”

After a great front-running ride and getting everything out of the winner, Blake Shinn spoke post-race about his win on Glint Of Silver.

“Look we were quite confident,” Shinn said.

“With respect to David Pfieffer the trainer, he's a pretty astute trainer when it comes to travelling horses interstate, and even in Sydney.

“We were quietly confident he would run well and the race set up nicely for him and the horse delivered, it was a great effort.”
