Gem Of Scotland ($2.05) cruised to the lead at the 300m and went on to beat ($2.60) by 3 /4 length with The Sinner ($11) 1-1/4 lengths back in third.

She confirmed her rating as the best three-year-old filly in as she had to carry 59kg and gave a top-class field of local three-year-olds plenty of weight.

However, trainer was adamant Gem Of Scotland would go for a spell next week despite being in top form.

“I was going to spell Gem Of Scotland last week after she ran second. But really she only got out in the final 200m (in that race) and she went home and ate up well,” Lipp said.

“I thought the 1400m this week would be ideal so I gave her one more run.”

Lipp said Gem Of Scotland would probably have one or two runs in the summer with a possible attempt to get a wild card into the in January.

“But you know something, I am not that worried about the . I really think she is a winter horse so I want her to for it,” Lipp said.

“I won't be knocking her around to get a Magic Millions start. But I would like to get some black type wins for her.”

Lipp said Gem Of Scotland should have been unbeaten in all three of her runs this campaign.

“As I said she didn't have much luck last time but she has won today and it is onwards from here,” Lipp said.

Gem Of Scotland has now won six of her nine starts and more than $400,000 in prize money.
