Ballarat-based trainer Andrew Noblet has disclosed plans to hold discussions with Foxy Frida‘s connections following the draw of barrier 15 for Saturday’s Group 1 Queen Of The Turf Stakes (1600m) at Randwick.
In light of Foxy Frida’s last-start eighth in the Group 1 Coolmore Classic (1500m), her owners are faced with a decision: whether to contest the $1 million Group 1 race or redirect her to Bendigo for the Listed Golden Mile (1600m) on the same day.
“She’s going very well, she worked great, she gets to what I think is her pet distance, a mile,” Noblet shared with Racing.com.
“It’s just a shame we have to overcome a wide gate, that’s all.
“She’s in the Chairman’s sale in May, that is the ultimate thing we’re trying to do, get her Group 1-placed or win one with her, but we’re running out of time, put it that way.”
