The now five-year-old mare finishes with 23 race starts for eight wins and four minor placings, with a career peak coming during the 2020 Brisbane Winter Carnival.

During that season, Vanna Girl won four consecutive races, including the Listed , Listed and the Group 2 The Roses.

The Edmonds stable certainly did not shy away from travelling Vanna Girl outside of , as she had 10 interstate runs in races like the Epsom Handicap, Empire Rose Stakes and .

Vanna Girl was never successful outside of Queensland, with her two best results outside of her home state seeing her run third in both the Craven Plate at Randwick – behind and – and the Listed Cap.

Her run in the was ultimately her last career start, going down by two-tenths of a length to Zayydani and on November 20, 2021.

Since her last run, Vanna Girl has had a knee operation, while co-trainer Trent Edmonds told HorseBetting that he felt the “time was right” to call it a day on her career.

Vanna Girl retires with $541,000 in the bank for her connections and will now likely head to the Magic Millions Broodmare Sales, where she will no doubt be sought after.
