Chauffeur Salutes At First Start For Weir

Former Sydney horse has made an immediate impact in his first start for ‘s premier trainer , winning a straight-track sprint at Flemington.

“Obviously he is only new to the stable and today was more just to see how he went and see what we’ve got,” Yendall said.

“He just did everything right. He settled well. He travelled well and he raced pretty genuinely.

“He was pretty bombproof in the way he went about his business. He got a little bit lost when he hit the front, which is why I put the whip through to my left hand just to remind him that the race wasn’t over, but it was a really .”

Chauffeur is by out of the mare Mirror Mirror who won the 2006 Magic Millions Classic at the Gold Coast.
