Top Queensland stallion Spirit Of Boom has a chance to get his 12th stakes winner and his third in three weeks at Doomben.

Spirit Of Boom, who has had three crops to race, will have gelding in the Listed and filly Sip It Slow in the Listed .

Both are nominated for the 2Y0 Classic and wins would see them safely in the field on January 11.

Count The Coin is a brother to handy mare and came from a long way back to be fourth at his debut run at Doomben two weeks ago.

“He will be much better for the experience and at 1200m on Friday,” trainer said.

Sip It Slow is part-owned by her breeder Grania McAlpine who races the filly with some of trainer Stuart Kendrick's biggest owners in Neil Douglas and the estate of the late Ross Cutts.

“Sip It Slow was run off her feet at 1000m at her first run and 1200m will suit better as she got home strongly,” Kendrick said.

“But barrier 10 is a worry and we will have to make up our mind closer to race day if we wait a week.”

Spirit Of Boom's daughters Sugar Boom () and () have won stakes races in the past fortnight.

Another of his daughters won the Listed Keith Noud Quality earlier in the summer carnival.

Spirit Of Boom has 10 lots in the Magic Millions Yearling Sales next month.
