In the forthcoming Robert Sangster Stakes, another contender making strides is Benedetta, trained under the tutelage of Jason Warren.
The progeny of Hellbent showcased her mettle with consecutive fourth-place finishes in both the esteemed Group 1 Oakleigh Plate (1100m) and the prestigious Group 1 Newmarket Handicap (1200m) earlier in the season. However, she recently reclaimed her winning form with a commendable triumph in the Group 3 R N Irwin Stakes (1100m) at Morphettville last Saturday.
Warren, speaking to Racing.com, outlined Benedetta's plans, stating, “She'll stay here and have a nice two weeks and prepare for the Sangster.”
Reflecting on her recent performance, Warren emphasized the importance of strategic planning, sharing, “We've freshened her up, we went back to the jump-outs … just needed a nice run without knocking her around.”
He further elaborated on his approach, remarking, “I didn't want to see her have a tough run. Hopefully she continues to improve.”
