Sydney trainers and the partnership of Gai and Adrian Bott are well and caught up in the spring in Melbourne but will each welcome potential contenders for next year after buying at the Tattersalls tried horses sale at in England.

“Gai has been such a supporter of this sale and we have usually managed to buy one or two here for her and they have gone on well,” McKeever said.

“We bought The Offer here and he went on to win the Group One Sydney Cup.”
