Two years after her maiden Group 1 victory in the All Aged Stakes, Tofane will be looking to win her fifth race at the highest level when she lines up in that same 1400m feature this Saturday.

The -trained mare will be lining up in her final race start, where a win would take her career earnings beyond AU$4 million.

Having won the All Aged in 2020, Tofane ended a 14-month drought in the 2021 Handicap (1400m), before recording a second-straight Group 1 victory a fortnight later in the Tatts Tiara (1400m) – both of which came at .

The six-year-old daughter of resumed in February with a tough all-the-way win in the Group 1 (1400m) at , before going on to place as favourite in the Futurity Stakes (1400m) and then finishing midfield in the $5 million (1600m) at her most recent start.

Moroney has freshened up the four-time Group 1 winner ahead of her tilt for second All Aged Stakes title at this weekend.

“She's been up here (Sydney) for a while,” Moroney told SEN Track.

“She's well used to Randwick. She's thrived and just loves this way of going.”

The Kiwi trainer said that his mare's win in the All Aged two years ago put her on a pedestal as one of the “elites” in Australian racing, so it would be fitting if she can go out as a winner in her final race start.

“That sort of set her amongst the elite here in Australia, and she continued on in that sort of vein,” he continued.

“This will be her last start and we're going to have most of the owners here celebrating that.

“We're quite happy that this is her swansong.”

Tofane will go through the Magic Millions Broodmare Sale at the end of May, where she is expected to be sold for the top dollar given her feats on the track.

The mare will be one of the more fancied runners in Saturday's $600,000 feature, but she certainly won't have it on a silver platter, with in-form horses Forbidden Love, Mo'unga and all expected to be in the field.

Tofane is currently an +700 chance with Bovada, while Forbidden Love (+350) tops the betting.

The final field for the All Aged Stakes will be released on Wednesday morning.
