Retiring trainer Bill Prain’s 50-year career in racing is to be celebrated at the midweek meeting at , his home track.

Prain announced his retirement last week with his major supporter, Fred Peisah scaling back his racing and breeding business at Lomar Park Stud.

The has named a race for Prain at Wednesday’s meeting and will host a lunch for his family and friends.

A former , Prain had Group success as a trainer with Peisah, most notably with Moment’s .

As a two-year-old Moment’s Pleasure won two Group races and the following year was runner-up to Flitter in the Group One Winfield, now , Classic.
