“As it turned out we decided to stick with a Class 6 Plate and he showed today he could handle 1200m. It was the right decision and we can now look for something better.”

Despite wanting to wobble about in the straight Ef Troop ($3.10) beat stablemate ($6.50) by a 1/2 length with a short neck to Traumatised ($9.50) in third.

Winning jockey Jeff Lloyd said Ef Troop had done a good job to win leading into a strong wind.
