beat the colts and geldings in the last spring and the filly is on track to do the same in the Group One .

The -trained three-year-old capped her spring with victory in the Group Two Guineas (1600m) in November and she is scheduled to make her return in the Group Three The Vanity (1400m) for fillies at on February 15.

The Group One Australian Guineas (1600m) at the same track two weeks later also figures in plans for Pretty Brazen who has won four of her 10 starts.

Pretty Brazen was taken to Sandown on Monday for a gallop between races and the filly did everything asked of her by jockey .

She sat off stablemate Marndarra before moving up around the home turn and drawing level at the 300m.

The well-performed filly edged clear to be almost a length in front of Marndarra at the winning post and Currie said she did it comfortably.

“It was pretty cruisy work for her,” Currie said.

“She did that pretty easily.

“She had the other horse pretty well covered so I gave her a little squeeze the last 50 yards just so that she ran through the line.

“She has matured a little bit and she seems in good order.”

Pretty Brazen was at $26 on Monday for the Australian Guineas.

Alligator Blood is the $4 favourite ahead of star gelding Catalyst ($4.40) and Guineas-winning colt ($8.50).

The McEvoys Melbourne foreman Michael Shepherdson was pleased with Monday's excursion which gave the filly a trip away from the Flemington stable.

“It's only a couple of weeks until we run her in The Vanity,” Shepherdson said.

“And provided she comes through that well the aim is to get her to the Guineas against the boys.

“She has always shown talent but she really probably put it together in her last prep in the spring.”
