Price and Kent joined forces on Monday in a training partnership that he hopes will be rubber-stamped by Racing Victoria in coming weeks.
Mystery Love made it two-from-two with her win in Wednesday's Polytrack Handicap.
“I only started on Monday, so I can't take any of the credit,” Kent said.
Kent acknowledged partnerships were the way of the future for up-and-coming trainers.
“I'm only 28 and to start on your own now could be a hard slog unless you've got some good backing,” Kent said.
“To be asked by Mick Price who has an amazing system around him, I couldn't say no.”
Kent said he had previously held a restricted licence while also riding on the picnic circuit.
He said Mystery Love was a nice filly who should graduate to better company.
