Travel restrictions could force trainer to watch on from Tasmania when his Group One winner next campaigns on the mainland.

Mystic Journey is scheduled to commence her spring campaign in the at late next month.

Under orders from owner Wayne Roser, Mystic Journey's autumn campaign was aborted after Trinder was unable to travel to due to border closures because of restrictions.

As it stands, any trainer or must undertake 14 days of isolation if they travel interstate.

If Mystic Journey travels without Trinder, the trainer is sure the stable, where the mare has stayed previously, will provide the best care for his stable star.

“She always goes to Tony's stable and the team there has a really good understanding of how I do things with her, a good understanding of our systems,” Trinder told RSN.

“I trust she would lose nothing if I did have to send her and let them care for her, but from a selfish perspective it is not an ideal scenario as I'm very hands on and I like to do things myself.

“But in trying times, sometimes you have to diversify.”

Trinder plans to run Mystic Journey in the Group One at Caulfield in late August after her Bletchingly Stakes return.

The Memsie will decide the spring pathway for Mystic Journey.

“She'll definitely hold an entry for the … and she will be busier than she has been in previous preparations,” Trinder said.
