Chris Waller and Nash Rawiller have combined for Group 1 success as Lindermann proved too strong, getting his head down on the line to secure the Group 1 Rosehill Guineas on Saturday.
It's been a preparation of improvement for this Lonhro colt, as he worked his way from BM78 level first-up before finding second in the Group 1 Randwick Guineas last time out.
He was a front running eye-catcher on that occasion and the script set up perfectly today with no other pacemaker to stop jockey Nash Rawiller from dictating to his rivals from the front.
He made his way across from barrier eight with relative ease, before pinching some slow sectionals keeping most of the backmarkers out of play turning for home.
Race favourite Pericles just missed the bob at the end of the 2000m journey, after tagging the back on Lindermann every step of the way. While Williamsburg was the best of the backmarkers making inroads to find third position.
Lindermann was just too good though, holding off the late challenge from Pericles in a ding-dong battle to score.

Chris Waller spoke post-race about his improving colt and gave a lot of the great to star hoop Nash Rawiller getting in the saddle.
“He's a real gentle giant,” said Waller.
“He's a big boy. Nash woke him up two starts ago when he won over 1400m here and it has been the making of him.”
“He has really learned to fight and at the same time matured as a man. He showed us a glimpse of ability at Flemington back during Cup week at 1800 and from that point on we said, ‘we'll set him for this race'. It doesn't always come off but it has today.”
When talking about where to next for Lindermann, Waller eluded to the Doncaster Mile but knows this horse presents plenty of options.
“I think he'd have a better chance of going back to a Doncaster. It's good to have options.”
Jockey Nash Rawiller spoke to the horses tenacity and whether Lindermann would run out the trip seemed to be a non-factor when heading to the races today.
“I had a lot of faith in him,” said Rawiller.
“I don't think he's a Derby horse but he's a deadset Rosehill Guineas horse. I'd like to think he'd be in the Cox Plate in the spring.
“Full credit to him, he's done his job now. I'd hate to think he's going to the Derby because he doesn't deserve that.
“He's a quick genuine miler, strong 2000m horse. God bless him, his ticker and will to win got him through today.”
If they do elect to head to the Group 1 Doncaster Mile, Lindermann currently sits as a $26 chance with online bookmakers.
