Shinn has been granted a part-season Club licence from July 15 until February 29, 2020.

Shinn says he is proud to have been granted the licence.

“Hong Kong is one of the premier racing jurisdictions, and from the time I started riding it has been an ambition of mine to ride in one of the world's most competitive racing environments,” Shinn said in a statement.

“I would like to place on record my gratitude to the HKJC's Licensing Committee for giving me the opportunity to fulfil this dream.

“I will be forever grateful to the people who have supported me throughout my career to get me to this point where I have been afforded this opportunity to ride in Hong Kong.”

Shinn has been in great form during the including a four-win haul at last Saturday and will be looking to add to the with seven rides at this week.

Fellow Australian rider has been granted a full season licence for 2019/20 with a shorter-term licence, ending on December 31.

Bayliss is currently sidelined after fracturing his wrist in a barrier incident at on Wednesday night.

The new Hong Kong season begins in September.
