Trainer Jarrod McLean has pleaded guilty to making false statements over where Trap For Fools was stabled ahead of a scheduled start in a race at Caulfield.
McLean fronted the Racing Appeals and Disciplinary Board on Monday after stewards inspected his stable on October 20 and found Trap For Fools was not at the trainer’s Yangery property but instead at Darren Weir‘s Warrnambool stable.
McLean runs Weir’s Warrnambool operation and following a report from Racing Victoria‘s Compliance Assurance Team, Trap For Fools was scratched from his Caulfield engagement that day.
