Jockey Jackson Murphy was taken to hospital after a fall in the middle stages of the Group Three Vo Rogue Stakes at Doomben on Saturday.
Murphy was tossed from Granny Red Shoes near the 650-metre mark and landed heavily.
Course doctor Jack See said Murphy had not been knocked out but had banged his head and had a slight headache.
Murphy also reported pain in his right hand and leg.
“We have sent him to the Royal Brisbane Hospital for precautionary X-rays,” Dr See said.
Murphy was stood down from his remaining rides for the day. Stewards will complete an inquiry into the fall when Murphy is available.
