Group-winning sprinter is to return to stud at with his racing thwarted by a recurrence of a suspensory injury.

The four-year-old was put back in training with after he managed to get just 20 of the 70 mares he served in foal in his first season.

He had been earmarked for and was training well but late last week was found to have re-injured his leg.

Newgate's Henry Field said outside bookings to Menaris would be limited.

“Menari obviously has machine-like talent, is by the champion sire () and hails from the Corumbene stud pedigree,” Field said.

“We will be doing everything under the sun to manage Menari's fertility in 2019 and at a fee of $15,000 + GST he represents phenomenal value.”
