has suffered multiple fractures after she was one of two riders involved in a serious race fall that marred the Cup meeting.

Latest scans have confirmed Duggan has wrist and shoulder fractures.

The popular jockey had already been diagnosed with a small fracture to the base of her skull, a broken nose and some bleeding on her brain.

Duggan was taken to 's John Hunter Hospital following her fall from in the final race at the meeting on Friday.

She was thrown over the top of her mount as the field approached the winning post.

Decorated jockey fell but the 62-year-old walked away unharmed.

In a social media post from her hospital bed on Sunday, Duggan described “as very lucky” not to have suffered more serious injuries.

Duggan had earlier this season spent three months out of the saddle because of injury after another fall.

She returned to riding in November.
