In-Form Jamie Kah Suspended By Stewards

Jamie Kah has taken all before her in recent weeks but she won’t be seen until September 23 after being suspended for the second time this month.

Jockey won’t be in action for the next three weeks after being suspended at Moonee Valley for her winning ride on Shandy.

Star jockey will also be sidelined for some time after he fractured his C6 vertebrae when his mount Shot Of Irish reared up at the start of the fourth race, causing Dunn to smash his head against the barriers.

Dunn will be operated on at the Royal Melbourne Hospital on Saturday night, according to the Victorian Jockeys’ Association.

Kah was due to start an eight-meeting suspension she received last Saturday at after the last race at Moonee Valley.

She was again suspended for another eight meetings after she was found guilty of careless riding on Shandy at the 150 metre mark when not clear of O’Tauto.

Her new suspension begins at midnight on September 14 and she can ride again on September 23.

Kah is Melbourne’s leading rider this season with 11 city winners.
