William Buick is set to ride the Willie Mullins-trained Vauban who will be looking to avenge a poor run as favourite in the 2023 Melbourne Cup. Vauban was defeated 13.35 lengths in last year’s Cup when starting a $5.50 favourite. With several strong performances back in the UK, Vauban is expected to be fighting out the finish in this year’s Melbourne Cup.
