Mick Price and Michael Kent Jnr are set to give their undefeated gelding, Globe, a workout at Moonee Valley on Tuesday morning
The gallop will serve as part of his preparations for his eagerly anticipated return in the Group 2 Feehan Stakes (1600m) scheduled for this Saturday.
The lightly raced five-year-old has been an impressive performer, boasting an unblemished record of four wins from four starts.
This marks Globe’s first foray into stakes level racing at The Valley, where the skilled jockey Jamie Kah will be aboard to guide him.
Price explained, “Globe is scheduled for a 1200-metre gallop at Moonee Valley on Tuesday morning. We don’t want to overly excite him; he’s quite spirited by nature.
“Each morning, he comes out ready for action, as if he’s wearing boxing gloves. It’s essential for him to acquaint himself with Moonee Valley, particularly with its three corners given the mile distance.”
In addition to Globe, his talented dual Group 3-winning stablemate, Charm Stone, will also be seen galloping at Moonee Valley.
This workout is in preparation for her upcoming challenge in the Atlantic Jewel Stakes (Listed, 1200m) scheduled to take place at the same course this Saturday.
