Billy Egan believes Foxy Frida is a “dream” to ride after recording his third win on the mare from four starts in the $107,250 Dominant Centaurea Stakes at Morphettville.

The four-year-old certainly looked a nice stayer to ride in the 2015m feature after she hit the front at the 200m mark before powering home from the outside.

Egan believes there are more big feature wins ahead of her.

“Almost perfect. She’s a dream horse,” he told

“She’s got an overall good record herself, so any jockey to ride her would have a good record on her.

“I think she’ll keep going on. She should be able to get more black-type to her name.”

Back in fifth early, Foxy Frida had to make a move at the turn, and she responded to Egan’s demands.

“I didn’t really mind. We were in a peaceful spot where we were,” he said.

“I was pretty happy the position I was in and the way the race was going.”

Foxy Friday has now registered six wins from 16 starts – and over $550,000 in prizemoney – for delighted trainer Andrew Noblet.

“Very consistent – she never runs a bad race and tries all the time,” he said.

“Billy gave her a great ride today and she got the job done.

“Today he made sure of it. We weren’t going to get held up and she hit the line well.

“That helped us. We were about to get on the improve off the back of that.

“The pace increased and I thought that helped her get dragged into the race.”

Like Egan, Noblet believes the four-year-old can continue improving.

“She’s still filling out in herself and we’ll get her ready for the spring now,” he said.
