has secured a coveted ballot exemption for the prestigious Cup (2400m) following a commanding victory in the Listed (2400m).

Trainer is now setting his sights on the next challenge: the Listed (2800m), where the Hungarian import aims to clinch another ballot-free entry into the Group 1 (3200m).

In a conversation with Racing.com, Smith expressed his optimism.

“It's the first time in ages I've been able to get the right sequence of runs into him,” Smith said.

“He was going well and there's always a chance they can put it together. I wasn't going down there to have a stab in the dark.”

“Due to the gear changes, he was able to settle well and then finish it off.”
