Eagle Farm Track Ready For Winter Racing

The main lead-up meeting to next month’s Group One races will go ahead at as scheduled on Saturday week.

The track got the approval of officials, trainers and jockeys after a course proper track gallop.

Eagle Farm has not hosted a race meeting since March 25 after it was given an eight-week hiatus to help it recover from summer racing.

The Eagle course proper chopped up during the seven meetings it had during February and March.

It was partly put down to a grub infestation which has been addressed in recent weeks.

Eagle Farm is due to host the May 23 meeting which will have the Group Two and Group Two as its .

Three horses worked on the course proper on Friday morning without any problems.

“There were no complaints from the jockeys and the times were good,” a said.
