It has been reported that CrownBet will provide odds, live crosses and tips to Racing.com and will fill half the gambling advertising slots, rising to 60 per cent on big race days. Ladbrokes will fill the remainder.

It's all part of Racing Victoria and Victoria's swish new television rights deal with Seven West Media.

Racing.com's chief executive Scott Perrin said Saturday was only “day one.”

“We have exciting plans for the evolution and development of this partnership over the coming 12 months,” he said.

“Victoria has the best racing product in the country and we are thrilled to be able to promote and grow it.

“This is the start of a new channel and we look forward to working to build our content over the coming months.”

The launch of the new channel is the culmination of eight months of turmoil in the racing industry, after the deals between and the racing clubs fell apart.

It's a breath of fresh air after that turmoil, which even involved a black out of Victorian Racing on TVN and Sky.

NSW signed a 10-year deal with in January, keeping its races on air, but Victorian races were taken off air in early June.

That will hopefully be a thing of the past for some time now.

Meanwhile, CrownBet has also quietly signed on to be the official wagering partner of Country Racing Victoria.

Country Racing Victoria marketing manager Darren Galley said the partnership would be a mutually beneficial one and would also be a boon for its customers.

“We're delighted to team up with CrownBet as our new wagering partner,” Galley said.

“We hope our customers will make full use of their offers and expertise when they have a bet on the country races.

“They've already shown their willingness to support country racing in Victoria and we look forward to working with them to do just that.”

CrownBet is the major partner for this month's Country Racing Victoria Awards, and will sponsor the night's feature awards: the CrownBet Country Club of the Year and the CrownBet Country Horse of the Year.
