Ready For Danger ($4.60) was able to stalk the favourite Sunday Session ($2.10) to the home turn before coming away to win by 3-1/2 lengths in the over 2190m.

“This race suited him better. He should have finished closer in the Trophy so that was good form for today,” Dunn said.

“He can go back to Saturday class now.”

Dunn’s luck changed when heavily backed Howick ($2.50) was slow to jump but rattled home from last to finish fourth behind Mystic Eyes ($14) in the Sirromet Handicap (1200m).

Mystic Eyes ended a two-month drought for jockey in metropolitan-class races.
