Godolphin star Bivouac has emulated his sire in winning the $1.25 million Newmarket Handicap.
Ridden by Glen Boss, the three-year-old colt led home a quinella for his age group in beating quality filly Loving Gaby.
Bivouac’s sire Exceed And Exceed won the Newmarket, a 1200m sprint run over Flemington’s straight course, in 2004.
