Daniel Schmitt has been charged by stewards following an investigation into a number of bets.

Stewards allege Schmitt made, facilitated in or had an interest in a of 71 bets placed on thoroughbred races between January 2016 and September 2018.

None of the 71 bets were on races he rode in.

The will hear his charge at a future date.

Apprentice will have his charge of placing six bets using his TAB account heard by the RAD Board on Wednesday.

Like Schmitt, none of Caserta's alleged bets were on races he was riding in.
