“She went from Melbourne to Sydney to Brisbane to the Gold Coast to Sydney to Melbourne and has now come back to Sydney again. And she's a two-year-old.”

Away Game's campaign might not be over yet, with the filly nominated for other feature juvenile races this autumn.

“She's . She's a neat filly. Two-year-old is her time and that was arguably her best run,” Maher said.

“She held her condition really well, almost a bit too well, leading into this race which you love to see with a horse that's deep into a preparation, especially a filly.”

Away Game's Slipper placing came after three-year-old stablemate Loving Gaby won the Group One Stakes in Melbourne on Friday night.
