Kerrin McEvoy has recorded his second Group One win on Golden Slipper Day at Rosehill, piloting Avilius to win the Ravnet Stakes.
Avilius ran down He's Eminent in the last stages of the 2000m race, with Danzdanzdance further back in third, giving McEvoy a double after he guided The Autumn Sun to win the Rosehill Guineas.
“He's a super horse and that's was a demonstration of the supreme turn of foot that he can exhibit,” trainer James Cummings said.
