Irish St Leger winner Voleuse De Coeurs has rocketed into equal third favouritism for the 2013 Melbourne Cup at Sportingbet following a large volume of significant wagers.

The horse is heading to the stables of Flemington trainer Mike Moroney to commence her Cup bid, after being purchased from two-time Melbourne Cup winning trainer Dermot Weld.

“We put her in the market at $21 and immediately got hit with a $3,000 and a $1,000 bet at those odds,” Sportingbet's Andrew Brown said.

“They've backed her from $21 into $14 and we're still taking a mountain of $100 and $200 bets for her,” Brown said.

Favourite Puissance De Lune has drifted from $5.50 out to $6 at Sportingbet on the back of the support for Voleuse De Coeurs. Fiorente has also drifted from $8 out to $8.50.
