A tilt at the Doubletree By Hilton Million 2YO (1200m) at is now a distinct possibility for impressive debut winner Diss Is Dramatic, who cruised to victory at Tauherenikau on Sunday in the Valley Plumbing (1000m).

The -trained daughter of Dissident turned on the afterburners late in the piece to win at the first time of asking in the colours of prominent syndicators Go Racing.

Despite two good performances at the trials, the two-year-old filly was friendless in betting and paid +1720, with stablemate 1.3 lengths away in second, and closing well for third, albeit a further 4.8 lengths astern.

Diss Is Dramatic raced close to the pace to the turn and wound up strongly for rider to win going away by 1.3 lengths, with the NZD$6720 winning cheque putting her 15th in to for the million-dollar January 22 feature.

“We have to consider it, although it would be a big ask for a filly that has won over 1000m and left-handed, but she was impressive,” Go Racing's Albert Bosma said. “After today, it has to be on the table.

“We'll see how she pulls up first. We would have to plan to gallop her at Ellerslie, so I'll be having a good chat with Lisa in the next few days.”

Bosma purchased Diss Is Dramatic out of 's draft at Bloodstock's National Yearling Sale earlier this year for NZD$60,000.

“She was a cracking yearling, a gorgeous type,” he said.

Diss Is Dramatic is out of the mare Our Drahma Queen, who is a half-sister to the dual Group One winner Suavito and the Group 3 J Swap Sprint (1400m) winner Sultan Of Swing.

A Per Incanto half-sister to Diss Is Dramatic will be offered as Lot 469 by Cambridge Stud during the Book 1 session at Karaka on March 9, while Our Drahma Queen foaled a colt last year by Almanzor.
