2015 Caulfield CupTHE NOMINATIONS for the 2015 Caulfield Cup and Cox Plate have been released and bookmakers Sportsbet.com.au and CrownBet.com.au have updated their betting markets.

Two of the Melbourne Spring Carnival feature races attracts the big bettors and there is always plenty of value to be snapped up in the early futures market.

Imported runner Noble Protector currently heads the Caulfield Cup market alongside New Zealand runner and the imported runners are dominating the current market.

Nine of the first 12 market favourites are either imported runners or overseas-trained horses having their first campaign in Australia.

The three horses that split the market are Winx ($15), Real Love ($17) and Delicacy at $21. Other strong Australian chances include Singoff ($21) which has lengthened in the market after nominations were released this morning.

The three Japanese runners entered will be looking to emulate the late Admire Rakti and there has been good support for them in the Group 1 event which will be held on October 17.

Fame Game heads the trio at $15 with Hokko Brave at $26. The third Japanese nomination, Hana's Revenge, is yet to be installed in the latest market.

2015 Cox Plate news and market

Champion trainer Chris Waller has an astonishing 16 nominations in the Group 1 Cox Plate on October 23 and of those include Mile winner Kermadec and 2015 Oaks winner Winx.

There is a three-way tie at the top of the market which features two well-performed horses in Australia and one imported runner.

Arod is an Irish-bred horse with good form and last years winning jockey Ryan Moore could be booked to ride.

Contributer and Pornichet have shown good form in previous campaigns and currently share favouritism at $9 with CrownBet.com.au.

Many eyes will be on Fawkner which ran second in the 2014 Cox Plate behind Adelaide. Only seven horses have won the Cox Plate the year after being placed, but there has been solid support for Fawkner at $15.

David Hayes and have 12 entries, heading by the globetrotting ($11) and Spillway at $34.
