has been airlifted to hospital with leg and rib pain following a horror race fall at today.

Stackhouse was aboard race favourite Armansky in the fourth event this afternoon. The -trained galloper started losing ground around the home turn, then suddenly knuckled badly at the 500m, throwing Stackhouse to the ground and into the path of a number of runners behind him.

The meeting was put on hold following the incident while waiting for the helicopter to arrive on track to take Stackhouse to Melbourne. Race 5 eventually got underway an hour after the original scheduled start time.

was also caught up in the carnage after his mount, More Saturdays, was interfered with after the fall. Holland walked away from the incident, although he was stood down from his mount in the following race. Both horses involved in the fall were reported to be OK.

Holland is due to fly to Tasmania for tomorrow's meeting at , where he is booked to ride the -trained Alpine Affair. This trip looked to be under a cloud immediately following the fall, but news that he has been cleared to take his ride in the last event today aboard three-year-old Kit and Caboodle bodes well for his journey south.
