Rally Australia

Australia has hosted world championship rallying since 1989, when Rally Australia joined the WRC calendar — first in Perth, later in Coffs Harbour, where the event ran until its final edition in 2019. Domestically, the Australian Rally Championship (ARC) anchors the sport, with events across tarmac and gravel in every state. Tasmania holds a special place in Australian rally history: the island’s closed-road tarmac events — Rally Tasmania and the Tarmac Challenge — drew national fields through the 2000s and remain a reference point for tarmac rallying in Australia.
