Top Sydney trainer is set to unveil AU$1.8 million gelding at on Friday night in a 3YO Maiden over 1200m.

The son of Exceed And Excel was purchased by and Orbis Bloodstock at the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale in 2020 and was the second-most expensive lot, with Group 1 winner going for $1.9 million.

That was in a 1000m 3YO & Up trial at Geelong where he finished second, one length off Listed winner Spirit Of Gaylard.

Plagiarized will be partnered by from barrier four in Friday's 1200m sprint, where he is currently at $5 on the third line of betting with Bovada.

It has been an interrupted process for Australia's leading trainer to get this expensive yearling to the races, as he was given Not To Race orders by Racing NSW on October 12.

stewards tweeted on Wednesday: “Horse injury: 11-02-22 The Valley R1 – Plagiarized – Had bilateral humeral stress fractures – vet clearance provided, trialled since – ok to race.”

Such is Waller's opinion of Plagiarized, he has nominated the horse for the Group 2 Arrowfield Stud Stakes at on April 9.

Waller has won that race twice in the past eight years, with Delectation and Japonisme going back-to-back in 2015 and 2016.

Plagiarized is out of dual Group 1-winning mare Platelet, who won the Robert Stakes and Handicap in 2013 at Morphettville.

Should Plagiarized get off to a winning debut, he will earn connections $33,000 in prizemoney – just 1.83% of their original outlay.
